- An exciting addition to our gardens over the last couple of years has been beehives and beekeeping education. As part of this new programming, our Gardens Community Engagement Coordinator, Elva Webster, was part of the first ever Spanish-language Master Beekeeping Program in the United States.
- Our Cambios Business Program graduate, Alma Vasquez, has opened a brick and mortar Mexican-style ice cream shop called Peek-A-Book Delights. Alma is selling Mexican paletas, mangonadas, and ice cream, and all of her products are handmade with natural ingredients.
